Artist Statement
I am a professional sculptor based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, UK, where I share a workshop with my husband - sculptor, David Cooke.
My work is inspired by a life-long love of animals, particularly dogs, and my aim is to capture the character of each subject I sculpt through its facial expression. All pieces are one-off sculptures hand-built from stoneware clay.
I predominantly work to commission creating sculptures of clients' own pets from photos. Commissions are not limited to the canine pet, I am open to requests to sculpt a variety of animals including cats, horses and chinchillas!
